The short version

Exercise Snacks does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Everything stays on your device.

What data the app stores

All data is stored locally on your iPhone using iOS secure storage. Nothing is sent to any server, ever.

The app stores:

Permissions the app requests

Notifications — used to remind you to move throughout the day. You can deny this permission; the app will still work, but you won't receive reminders.

Bluetooth — used to read heart rate data from a paired monitor if you choose to connect one. This is entirely optional and never required to use the app. No Bluetooth data is transmitted off-device.

Data sharing

Exercise Snacks does not share any data with third parties. There are no analytics tools, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services embedded in the app.

Voluntary export: The app includes a data export feature (accessed by long-pressing the app title on the home screen). If you use this, a JSON file containing your snack history, settings, and feedback is generated on your device. You choose what to do with it — it is not sent anywhere automatically.
