The short version

Exercise Snacks has no account, no server, and no analytics. Your data stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch unless you deliberately choose to send or export it.

What data the app stores

All data is stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch, using iOS secure storage and a shared app group so the two stay in sync. Nothing is uploaded automatically, ever.

The app stores:

Apple Health

The Apple Watch app uses Apple Health (HealthKit). It asks for permission once, from the watch's idle screen, and both uses are optional:

Running a workout session also lets the watch deliver reliable completion haptics during exercise.

You can decline Health access, or change it later in the Watch app under Privacy → Health. Snacks still work if you decline — you simply won't get a peak heart rate or a saved workout. Health data is never transmitted off your device by Exercise Snacks, is never shared with third parties, and is never used for advertising or marketing.
